Course for Sports Clubs ALPHA — in Russian and Estonian, February 1, 2025
Alpha Shooting Club invites everyone interested in practical shooting to join the introductory Safe Shooter Course, which provides basic knowledge and skills necessary to participate in practical shooting competitions. Those who successfully complete the course will be eligible to join the Alpha Club, attend club training sessions, and participate in IDPA, IPSC, and other types of practical shooting competitions.

Location: Classroom and shooting range at Pirni 5, Tallinn (see directions);
Languages of instruction: Russian and Estonian
Course Requirements: Good mood and a positive attitude and valid firearm permit (not required for athletes under 18 and shooters preparing for the ALPHA exam)
Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of the course, participants will:
- Understand the rights and responsibilities of a safe shooter in accordance with safety rules, club regulations, and Estonian law.
- Recognize types and classes of sports firearms and understand applicable requirements and restrictions for firearms, ammunition, and shooter equipment.
- Understand safety requirements and adhere to firearm handling rules both in the range and beyond.
- Comprehend the principles of practical shooting competitions, exercise execution rules, and scoring methods in IDPA and IPSC.
- Receive a Level 1 Safe Shooter Certificate.
- Be eligible to apply for a sports category for their personal firearm.
